Sheikh Naim Qassem: We have entered the stage of breaking the Zionist project, and the enemy has no option but complete withdrawal.

Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem affirmed that Lebanon, its resistance, its army, and its people have entered a new phase entitled “Breaking the Israeli Project,” considering that the project that sought during the past years to end Hezbollah militarily, politically, culturally, socially, and humanly has failed.

Sheikh Qassem said: “We are now in a new phase in the history of Lebanon, its resistance, its army, its people, and its future, a phase called breaking the Israeli project. We can say that after all the attempts of the Israeli entity during the past two or three years, we have reached a stage in which the project has been broken. This does not mean that they will not try again or that there will not be other phases, but there was a grand project called ending Hezbollah militarily, politically, culturally, socially, and humanly, and eliminating its existence and the existence of all those with it on the path to a Greater Israel. This project has been broken.”

He added: “Now they need a long period of time to try to return, whether they can or not, let them try their luck, but I say that we are in the stage of breaking the Israeli project.”

He stressed that the role of the field was the main factor in reaching this result, saying: “If there had not been resistance in the field, and if there had not been the legendary, great, martyr-like youth who filled the world with their noble example, ready to sacrifice themselves, money, blood, homes, families, and everything, just to remain standing and prevent the occupation from achieving its goals, if these people had not been present in the field, we would not have reached this result.”

He continued: “If we did not have Sayyed Hassan, the martyred leaders, the wounded, the prisoners, and the great families who rallied around the resistance, and if we did not have this exceptional readiness, we would not have broken the project. So the field is the foundation.”

He pointed out that some people were responding to the resistance’s talk about the battlefield by saying that it is not stronger than the Israeli entity, adding: “Who said that we are stronger than the Israeli entity? We say that we are on the battlefield, and the Israeli entity on the battlefield will not be able to withstand it, and will not be able to achieve its goals even if it takes a long time. So, if the battlefield had fallen, the Israeli entity would have taken a step in its project to eliminate Hezbollah and achieve the Greater Israel project, but the steadfastness of the battlefield broke the project.”

He pointed out that political pressure was exerted on the resistance during the war, saying: “They were putting a lot of pressure on us, some politicians, some countries, and some who contact us, saying: ‘Brother, what are you doing? The Israeli entity is strong and you are not stronger than it.’ Yes, we know that the Israeli entity is strong, but who said that we accept giving up to the Israeli entity because it is strong? This is our right, and we will not give up our right.”

He added: “Let him sort out his own affairs, and you sort out your own affairs if you are afraid, helpless, or complicit. That is your business and his. They say there are victims and great costs, and we tell them: Rest assured, we have made our decision and are ready to pay the price.”

He stressed that “the stronger party, if it takes something at a time when we are making concessions, will take even more after the concessions. And if you give to someone and do not stand up to them, who will stand up to them later?”

He considered resistance to be the only guarantee for liberating the land and preserving independence and sovereignty, saying: “From here, we are convinced that the only guarantee for liberating the land, independence and sovereignty is resistance in the face of occupation. And by resistance I mean not only our resistance, but every individual who resists, and what is required of every individual is to resist, and that we all cooperate for resistance, army, people, resistance and all people.”

He added: “The only guarantee is resistance. They told us that the United States guarantees, and it did guarantee the November 27 agreement, but it reneged on it and said that it did not guarantee, and it turned out that there was an agreement between it and the Israeli entity to continue the attacks. The United States is not a guarantor.”
