In response to Trump’s threat, an Iranian official says: The Resistance Axis has its finger on the trigger.

Ali Akbar Velayati, advisor to the Supreme Leader of the Iranian Revolution, stated that the American aggression targeting Iranian territory this morning, and the subsequent threats by US President Donald Trump of renewed bombing tonight, represent a dangerous escalation that is pushing the region toward a volatile atmosphere that threatens security and stability.

Velayati emphasized that the responsibility for acknowledging the cancellation of the Memorandum of Understanding lies with the US president, noting that Washington has repeatedly violated its terms, which is returning the region to a cycle of tension.

He stressed that the Resistance Axis will not remain silent in the face of what he described as adventurism and humiliation, and that it has its finger on the trigger, ready for an immediate response. He called for revenge for the martyred commander in order to cleanse the region of foreign interference.

He added that the region is not an arena for the political gambles being played by some small countries, asserting that any new adventure will be met with a direct and decisive response.
