Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters: Hormuz is a red line… and any targeting of infrastructure will be met with a stronger and broader response

Brigadier General Ibrahim Zolfaghari, spokesman for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, affirmed that Iran will not allow the United States to interfere in the Strait of Hormuz “under any circumstances,” considering its presence in the region as a “foreign country” to make any interference in the strait “a red line that cannot be crossed.”

The spokesman said in a statement on Thursday that his country would not allow the United States to interfere in the Strait of Hormuz under any circumstances, stressing that respecting Iran’s rights is the only way to avoid escalation in the region.

He added that if the United States carries out its recent threats to target Iranian infrastructure, the Iranian armed forces will respond by targeting infrastructure in the region, warning that the response will be broad and devastating.

He stressed that any Iranian response would not be limited to “reciprocity,” but would be “more severe, broader, and more destructive,” noting that the Iranian armed forces were ready to respond to any American aggression.
