The Yemeni Armed Forces’ statement places Riyadh between the requirements of peace or all-out confrontation.

Inaugurating a new phase that thwarts the Saudi enemy’s bets on time and puts an end to its policy of procrastination and circumvention of the Yemeni people’s rights, the Yemeni Armed Forces issued a statement banning Saudi maritime navigation under the “siege for siege” equation, thus marking a decisive turning point in the course of the confrontation.

The Armed Forces’ declaration emerged from the heart of the escalating humanitarian suffering of the Yemeni people over 12 years of blatant siege and the plundering of sovereign resources. It was based on an unprecedented popular mandate during the “Friday of Warning and Mobilization,” imposing a new field and political reality that shifts the stance from responding to peace efforts to imposing equations of direct deterrence.

An analysis of the timing and motives behind the statement reveals, beyond any doubt, that the humanitarian suffering resulting from the blatant and continuous siege has reached an unacceptable and intolerable level, especially after the Saudi regime disrupted Yemeni ports and airports and continued to plunder resources.

In the same vein, the “siege for siege” equation acquires profound military and field significance. It transcends the boundaries of traditional threats, placing the Saudi enemy’s economic and maritime arteries under the fire of the armed forces. This signals a heightened state of mobilization and comprehensive readiness to address various scenarios, and the imposition of a naval blockade as an executive and field measure that went into effect immediately upon its declaration.

The armed forces, mandated by the people and supported by the just cause and the grievances of the Yemeni people, affirm that the rights of the Yemeni people are not negotiable, that the era of unilateral blockades is over, and that today, more than ever, they are stronger and more capable of dealing with the realities on the ground with utmost efficiency and competence, without succumbing to any pressure or yielding to any compromises.

The decision now rests entirely with the Saudi regime. Either the legitimate demands of the Yemeni people are met, the aggression is ended, the blockade is lifted, and humanitarian obligations, such as the payment of state employee salaries as agreed upon in the roadmap, are fulfilled, or the catastrophic consequences of the “blockade for blockade and escalation for escalation” equation will be borne across the region.

The era of relying on time and exhausting the patience of the Yemeni people without any benefit is over. The “blockade for blockade” equation has become a fixed reality on the ground, one in which popular awareness and steadfastness will have the final say, confirming that there will be no retreat or compromise until the aggression ends and the comprehensive blockade on Yemen is lifted.

In short, the Yemeni armed forces are now moving confidently to reclaim rights and end the blockade by all available means, presenting the Saudi enemy with only two options: either break the blockade and end the aggression, or slide into a comprehensive and harsh escalation that will change the face of the region and prove in practice that the price of continuing its meddling and criminality has become far greater than it can bear.
