The Revolutionary Guard announces targeting two American bases in Jordan

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard announced on Wednesday that it had carried out a large-scale missile and drone attack targeting King Faisal and Prince Hassan airbases in Jordan, where US forces are stationed. The statement confirmed that the operation was part of the 25th phase of the “Nasr 2” campaign.

The Revolutionary Guard explained that the attack resulted in the killing and wounding of a number of American soldiers after targeting their shelter, in addition to the destruction of ten American “MQ-9” drones, including eight drones that were completely destroyed inside the drone preparation hangar.

The statement also indicated that the attack damaged two heavy American helicopters and also targeted an F-15 aircraft preparation hangar at the base.

The new attack raises the level of escalation between Iran and US forces in the region, and comes in the context of a series of repeated operations announced by the Revolutionary Guard during the past weeks, amid increasing tension on the regional scene.
