The spokesman for the Security Council of Iran’s Qazvin Province, Shahram Ahmadpour, said that air defenses shot down a number of small Zionist drones on Saturday that had entered the province’s airspace to carry out sabotage operations.

The Iranian news agency, IRNA, quoted the spokesman as saying: “Following the Zionist regime’s attacks on our country and the Islamic Republic of Iran’s missile response to this regime’s military centers, and thanks to the wisdom and vigilance of the country’s defense forces, a number of small aircraft and drones belonging to the Zionist regime were shot down over the skies of Qazvin Province.”

He added: “These drones, which were intended to carry out sabotage and destruction operations, were struck and shot down through the appropriate defensive action of the armed forces.”
