WHO Director-General: Gaza Situation Precarious

The Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, stated that the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip remains extremely precarious, given the widespread destruction of infrastructure and the collapse of livelihoods and local food production.

In a post on the X platform, monitored by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), Ghebreyesus warned that estimates indicate more than 100,000 children and 37,000 pregnant and lactating women will suffer from acute malnutrition by April of next year.
