Two years of continuous Zionist aggression against the Gaza Strip have left no aspect of Palestinian life untouched by destruction, and no human being spared from pain. Since October 7, 2023, the death toll has risen to 70,942 martyrs and 171,195 injured, while thousands more remain trapped beneath the rubble, awaiting rescue teams and civil defense crews.
The ongoing siege, the bombardment of hospitals, and the severe shortages of medicine and food have turned Gaza into a tragic laboratory of an unprecedented humanitarian crisis. Meanwhile, local and international efforts remain incapable of confronting the scale of the catastrophe, leaving Gaza’s residents suspended between slow death and daily suffering.
Chilling Figures
The Zionist war machine continues to leave its mark on every inch of Gaza. Over the course of two years, the number of martyrs has exceeded 70,000, with nearly 171,000 injuries recorded. Since the ceasefire on October 11, 2025, an additional 406 martyrs and 1,118 injuries have been documented, while many bodies have yet to be recovered—reflecting the cumulative human toll since the beginning of the aggression.
Civil defense teams continue to retrieve the remains of Palestinians from beneath the rubble and from makeshift mass graves, confirming that the discovery of unidentified bodies has become a grimly familiar scene in Gaza—one that urgently requires international intervention.
Slow Death Under Siege
The health sector in Gaza remains under siege, described by officials as a state of “slow death.” The World Health Organization reported the deaths of 1,092 patients while awaiting medical evacuation between July 2024 and November 2025, with more than 16,500 patients still waiting for evacuation.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza has warned that medical supplies and medicines entering the Strip cover only 10% of basic needs. Some 80,000 diabetes patients and 105,000 hypertension patients face life-threatening complications, while over 99% of orthopedic surgeries have come to a halt.
A Future Laden with Risk
The World Food Programme confirmed that Gaza’s population remains in urgent need of sustainable food supplies and reliable food systems, relying almost entirely on humanitarian aid.
Meanwhile, UNRWA noted that children have lost their homes and schools, yet despite the harsh conditions, they continue to express hope for a better future through drawing and singing—underscoring the urgent need for international support to safeguard their rights.
Efforts Amid the Catastrophe
Despite immense challenges, civil defense crews carried out 51 missions over the past 24 hours, including rescue, medical assistance, and other operations. Search efforts for the remains of martyrs continue in areas such as the Al-Amal neighborhood in Khan Younis.
These efforts persist despite extremely limited resources, alongside attempts to identify bodies with the help of victims’ families—highlighting the enormous challenge facing the Strip amid the staggering number of casualties.
Ongoing Violations
Statements by the Zionist enemy’s “army” minister, Israel Katz, regarding intentions to remain in Gaza and displace residents of the northern Strip reveal clear settlement ambitions that contradict the ceasefire agreement. The enemy continues to block the entry of most humanitarian aid and medicines, meaning daily violations of the ceasefire persist—threatening any return to normal life for Gaza’s residents.
Dimensions of the Humanitarian Disaster
Destruction in Gaza has not been limited to buildings alone; it has affected hundreds of thousands of people, including women and children. Widespread displacement has led to real famine.
