Gaza Under Siege: Daily Violations and an Unending Tragedy
The Gaza Strip has been experiencing a prolonged humanitarian catastrophe for years, which has further escalated despite the ceasefire agreement coming into effect on 10 October 2025, following two years of genocide. Daily violations by the Zionist enemy continue unabated, compounded by natural disasters and a harsh winter, deepening the suffering of civilians living in deteriorating tents and partially destroyed homes, amid a severe shortage of fuel and humanitarian assistance.
This dire reality has resulted in 418 martyrs and 1,141 injured within just 80 days of the agreement. At the same time, Zionist restrictions continue to obstruct the entry of aid, including food, fuel, and shelter materials, leaving the lives of thousands of families in the Strip hanging in the balance.
Daily Violations
The Government Media Office reported 969 Zionist violations over an 80-day period, resulting in 418 martyrs and 1,141 injured, in addition to 45 cases of unlawful detention. Aid entry has been severely restricted, with only 19,764 trucks allowed in out of 48,000, averaging 253 trucks per day and a compliance rate not exceeding 42%. As for fuel, only 425 trucks entered out of 4,000—representing a compliance rate of just 10%.
Collapse of Infrastructure
With the arrival of the third low-pressure system since the beginning of winter, heavy rainfall flooded tents and shelters, while the collapse of partially damaged homes led to the killing of 20 civilians.
The head of the Government Media Office, Ismail Al-Thawabta, confirmed that the continuation of aggression multiplies the risks facing hundreds of thousands of displaced people and creates serious health and environmental problems due to dampness, overcrowding, and falling temperatures.
Children and Women at Risk
UNICEF warned of the worsening conditions faced by displaced children, noting that temporary tents no longer provide even the minimum level of safety.
The Director of the Ministry of Health, Munir Al-Barsh, reported a rise in miscarriages and a 40% decline in births compared to last year, in addition to low birth weights caused by malnutrition and the blocking of essential nutritional supplements. He also noted that approximately 4,000 fertilized embryos were destroyed as a result of the targeting of fertility centers during Zionist bombardment.
Shelter and Aid Crisis
Hamas and UNRWA confirmed that the continued closure of crossings and the prevention of essential supplies—aid, shelter materials, and fuel—expose thousands of families to the severe hardships of winter.
Hamas stressed that most tents are submerged in water and that partially damaged homes are at risk of collapse, calling on the international community to intervene urgently to provide protection and shelter.
Gaza in a Continuing Impasse
Despite the ceasefire agreement, the Gaza Strip continues to endure daily violations, harsh winter conditions, and the obstruction of humanitarian aid. Statistics indicate 418 martyrs and 1,141 injured in just 80 days, while children and women live in life-threatening conditions. Urgent international intervention remains essential to ensure the delivery of basic assistance, protect civilians, and guarantee respect for the ceasefire agreement.
