28 December: A Bloody Record of Aggression Crimes Against Yemen
The twenty-eighth of December stands as a blood-stained milestone in the record of crimes committed by the US–Saudi–UAE aggression against the Yemeni people. On this day, civilians, populated areas, infrastructure, and service facilities were deliberately targeted through airstrikes and missile and artillery shelling, in a blatant violation of all international laws and conventions.
28 December 2015: Massacres Against Civilians and Destruction of Property
On this day in 2015, two civilians were killed and five others injured as a result of airstrikes and bombardment carried out by aircraft and warships of the aggression against villages and residential areas in the city of Mocha, Taiz Governorate. Warships targeted villages and residential تجمعات in the Al-Kadahah area and other areas south of the city, while aircraft carried out raids on various locations in the Mawza’a District.
In the Capital Secretariat, four civilians were killed and four others injured, including women and children. A privately owned factory and a large number of homes were damaged after aggression aircraft targeted Al-Hadhan neighborhood in the Jadr area of Bani Al-Harith District, in addition to other airstrikes on Wadi Ahmad and Daris in the same district.
Five civilians were also killed when aggression aircraft targeted a civilian vehicle at Akawan Bridge in Al-Safra District, Saada Governorate, leading to the destruction of the bridge and the closure of the main road, in addition to two airstrikes on the Al-Mahadhir and Al-Azqul areas in Sahar District.
In Al-Hudaydah Governorate, four civilians were injured when aggression aircraft bombed two civilian vehicles that were parked near a tourist facility in Al-Mina District.
Aggression aircraft carried out five airstrikes on civilians’ homes in Sirwah District, Marib Governorate, destroying them, and dropped an internationally banned cluster bomb on the Al-Jawf junction in Majzar District, along with two airstrikes on the Al-Atf area.
The aircraft also launched 11 airstrikes on a hill and the home of businessman Saleh Al-Jabari in the Dhiwan area of Amran Governorate, completely destroying it and all heavy machinery and equipment used in road and bridge projects.
Aggression aircraft targeted a vehicle in Wadi Milh in Nihm District, Sana’a Governorate, in addition to other airstrikes on the villages of Deerah and Al-Fardhah.
28 December 2016: Targeting Schools and Communications
In 2016, aggression aircraft carried out seven airstrikes on the Guards School on the western ring road in Dhamar City, causing damage to a number of nearby civilian homes.
They also launched a series of airstrikes on the districts of Sanhan, Bani Matar, Al-Haimah Al-Dakhiliyah, and Nihm in Sana’a Governorate, targeting the Rima Hamid area, a plastics factory, and the areas of Al-Qarnab, Mahli, Al-Majawhah, Suwaid, Bani Amer, and Bani Naji, resulting in severe damage to civilians’ properties and farms.
Airstrikes were also carried out on several areas in Saada Governorate, including Al-Safiyah in Al-Dhahir and Mandabah in Baqim, in addition to targeting the Al-Omari area in Dhubab District, Taiz Governorate, where warships shelled the camp with 16 missiles.
28 December 2017: Targeting Roads and Hospitals
In 2017, two civilians were killed and their truck loaded with vegetables was burned after three airstrikes targeted the main road in Al-Matammah District, Al-Jawf Governorate. The aircraft also launched six airstrikes on Khabb wa Al-Sha’af District.
In Al-Hudaydah Governorate, a paramedic was killed and four civilians injured as a result of four airstrikes carried out by aggression aircraft on Hays Hospital and an ambulance, constituting a grave crime against the health sector.
28 December 2018: Shelling by Mercenaries and Agricultural Areas
In 2018, a child was killed and his sister injured by a mortar shell fired by aggression mercenaries in Hays District, Al-Hudaydah Governorate. Mercenaries also shelled farms and villages with more than 100 artillery shells in Al-Tuhaita and Al-Durayhimi.
Aggression aircraft also carried out airstrikes on Hamdan District in Sana’a and on areas in Sahar and Razih in Saada Governorate.
28 December 2019–2022: Continued Crimes and Violations
Crimes of aggression continued in subsequent years. In 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022, mercenaries shelled various areas of Al-Hudaydah Governorate, targeting farms and civilian homes. Meanwhile, aggression aircraft launched airstrikes on the governorates of Saada, Marib, Al-Bayda, Al-Jawf, and Taiz, alongside repeated Saudi artillery shelling of border districts, resulting in injuries among civilians, including African migrants.
