“Oxfam” Warns of Worsening Suffering for Palestinians Due to Deregistration of Organizations in Gaza

The Policy Officer at Oxfam in Palestine, Bushra Al-Khalidi, confirmed that “Israel’s” plans to deregister non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the Gaza Strip will increase the suffering of Palestinians.

Al-Khalidi said in statements to the “Al Jazeera” channel in English, which Oxfam republished in a post on its account on the “X” platform, monitored by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), that these measures come at a time when Gaza is already facing a severe humanitarian crisis, further exacerbating the fragility of essential services and threatening the lives of the population.

With American and European support, the Israeli enemy army has, for over two consecutive years since October 7, 2023, committed crimes of genocide, siege, and starvation in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the martyrdom of 71,391 Palestinian civilians, the majority of whom are children and women, and the injury of 171,279 others, as of yesterday, Tuesday, according to a non-final toll, as thousands of victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue crews.

The ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip entered into force on October 10 of last year, after two consecutive years of Zionist genocidal war. However, the Israeli enemy army commits daily violations of the agreement and continues to prevent the entry of the majority of humanitarian aid into the Strip.
