Democratic Front: International Silence Is Deepening the Humanitarian Tragedy in Gaza

The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine called on the international community, on Sunday, to take a decisive stance to put an end to the tragedy facing the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, after tens of thousands of martyrs and wounded have fallen in defense of their land and their national and human dignity.

In a statement, the Democratic Front asked:
“When will the international community assume its humanitarian, moral, and legal responsibilities toward the conditions of our people in the Gaza Strip, which are growing increasingly dire and catastrophic, while the Zionist aggression prevents the entry of humanitarian aid supplies, including prefabricated housing units, tents and durable shelters, medicines, water, and food?”

The statement pointed out that members of the Palestinian people—children and women in particular—are “falling victim to cold, wind, rain, and harsh climatic fluctuations,” stressing that the Israeli killing machine has not ceased, alongside malnutrition and unbearable human suffering.

The Democratic Front also called on the Palestinian people everywhere, the Arab nations, and the free people of the world who have risen in defense of Gaza, to raise their voices loudly and pressure their governments, parliaments, political parties, and the United Nations to assume their humanitarian responsibilities toward the people of the Gaza Strip, and to force the fascist Zionist entity to lift the siege and allow the entry of all urgent forms of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people in Gaza.
