Rights Center: Ceasefire in Gaza Not Practically Implemented Despite 106 Days of Agreement

The Palestinian Center for Human Rights said on Monday that the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip is not practically in effect despite 106 days since it entered into force.

The center added, according to the “Palestine Today” website, that the assaults include daily and nightly shelling of residential neighborhoods and civilian facilities, destruction of the remaining buildings, and deliberate gunfire towards areas crowded with displaced persons.

The center noted that the Israeli enemy army is expanding the so-called “Yellow Zone” by continuously moving the yellow markers and encroaching on new areas of the Gaza Strip’s land, thereby reducing the space in which more than 2.2 million people are crammed into less than 40% of the Strip’s total area.

A ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip entered into force on October 10 last year, after a two-year-long Zionist war of genocide. However, the Israeli enemy army continues to commit daily violations of the agreement and still prevents the entry of the majority of humanitarian aid into the Strip.
