Zionist enemy shoots Palestinian in Jenin, causes others to suffocate from tear gas in Ramallah
A Palestinian young man was shot by Israeli enemy forces on Wednesday evening in the city of Jenin in the northern West Bank.
According to the Palestinian Safa Agency, the Red Crescent Society stated that its crews transferred to the hospital a young man (28 years old) who was shot with live enemy fire in the thigh while riding his motorcycle in the vicinity of the Jenin camp.
In a related context, on Wednesday, a number of citizens suffered from suffocation due to the Israeli enemy army firing tear gas canisters during a raid on the town of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah.
Local sources reported that the enemy army raided Al-Mughayyir and fired tear gas canisters towards citizens’ houses and residential neighborhoods, leading to the suffocation of some residents, especially children and the elderly.
They added that enemy soldiers deployed in several neighborhoods within the town and intensively fired tear gas canisters between houses and in the vicinity of internal roads.
This raid comes as part of the ongoing series of assaults the town is subjected to, including repeated raids, the firing of gas and live ammunition, in addition to attacks by settlers.
On another level, the enemy’s Central Court in Jerusalem extended, on Wednesday, the detention of two employees of the Islamic Endowments Department, Abdulrahman Al-Sharif and Mahdi Al-Abbasi, after the public prosecutor appealed a decision to release them.
Sources said that the Magistrate’s Court decided today to release the employees Al-Sharif and Al-Abbasi, on the condition of house arrest for 9 days.
They added that the public prosecutor submitted an appeal against the decision to release them to the Central Court in Jerusalem, and after the appeal was approved, their detention was extended. They are scheduled to appear before the court tomorrow at nine in the morning.
Enemy forces had arrested Al-Sharif and Al-Abbasi yesterday from their homes in Jerusalem and the town of Silwan and detained them at the Moskobiya (Russian Compound) detention center.
In this context, the enemy police today released guard Fadi Aliyan after handing him an order banning him from Al-Aqsa Mosque for a week, subject to renewal.
Enemy forces had arrested guard Fadi Aliyan this afternoon from his home in the village of Al-Issawiya in occupied Quds.
The enemy police today also banned an employee of the Reconstruction Committee in the Endowments Department, Hussam Sidr, from Al-Aqsa Mosque for a week, subject to renewal.
