Ongoing Genocide and Daily Violations: Gaza Bleeds from Bullets, Siege, and the Collapse of Basic Establishments

Despite more than two years having passed since the Zionist war of genocide against the Gaza Strip, and despite the announcement of a ceasefire agreement, the scenes of killing and destruction have not ceased. Instead, they have taken on more dangerous yet subtle forms: direct killings by gunfire, a suffocating siege that is devastating the health and service sectors, and a systematic targeting of basic necessities.

The rising death toll, the daily violations of the ceasefire, and the accelerating collapse of the health and service systems all reveal that what is happening in Gaza is not merely “violations,” but a fully-fledged policy of genocide, orchestrated with American support and blatant international silence.

72,000 Martyrs: The Toll of an Ongoing Genocide

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced today, Monday, that the death toll from the Israeli aggression has risen to 72,032 martyrs and 171,661 wounded since October 7, 2023. This toll is still preliminary, as thousands of victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, inaccessible to ambulance and civil defense teams.

In the past 24 hours alone, hospitals received 5 martyrs and 10 wounded, a clear indication of the continued killing despite the ceasefire agreement.

The Ministry explained that since the agreement came into effect last October, 581 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire, in addition to 1,553 wounded, while 717 bodies have been recovered. This confirms that the agreement has not stopped the aggression, but rather has masked its continuation.

Continued Targeting: Documented Ceasefire Violations

In the context of daily violations, a number of Palestinian civilians were killed by Israeli enemy forces in various areas of the Gaza Strip:

Nabil Muhammad Ahmad al-Rahal (54 years old) was killed in Beit Lahia, in the northern Gaza Strip.

Wael Salim Salmi (43 years old) was killed in the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.

Farmer Khaled Baraka was killed east of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.

These crimes were accompanied by heavy gunfire from enemy vehicles targeting homes and tents of displaced persons, artillery shelling of areas in the northern Gaza Strip, and gunfire from enemy warships off the coast of Khan Younis, in an escalation that confirms that civilians remain direct targets.

The Health Sector on the Verge of Collapse

The Ministry of Health in Gaza warned that laboratory testing is threatened with complete cessation due to the continued prevention of the entry of medical supplies.

It indicated that:

The shortage of laboratory testing materials has exceeded 84%.

The shortage of consumables and supplies has reached 71%.

She emphasized that vital tests such as CBC, coagulation factors, blood gases, tumor screening, and blood transfusion compatibility are among the most severely affected services, endangering the lives of patients and the wounded, especially in intensive care units, emergency rooms, and neonatal units.

Lack of Safety Equipment: A New Danger Threatening What Remains
For its part, the Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip confirmed that the Strip is completely devoid of safety and protective equipment and supplies, after they were destroyed by the Israeli enemy during the war of annihilation.

It warned of increasing dangers, especially in the commercial and industrial sectors, given:

The recurrence of large fires in food warehouses.

The inability of facility owners to implement safety procedures.

The weakened capabilities of the Civil Defense due to the siege and the prevention of equipment entry.

The Civil Defense called on the countries sponsoring the ceasefire agreement to pressure the enemy to allow the entry of safety equipment, warning of impending disasters if this situation continues.

Water and Sanitation: A Daily Battle for Survival

UNRWA has stressed that access to clean water and sanitation in Gaza has become critically important, especially in the overcrowded shelters where residents live in dire conditions.

The agency explained that water and sanitation networks were almost completely destroyed during the war, while its teams continue to operate water wells and desalination plants, provide water by tanker, and support sanitation and pest control services in an effort to mitigate a worsening health and environmental catastrophe.

Ongoing Violations and Systematic Targeting
What is happening in Gaza today is a multifaceted genocide: direct killing, a suffocating siege, the systematic destruction of the health sector, and the depletion of basic necessities.

Despite the declared ceasefire, the Zionist enemy continues its daily violations, relying on American support and international silence that has emboldened it to continue its crimes with impunity. Gaza is not only being targeted with weapons, but is also being bled to death.
