Epstein Scandals Strip Away the West’s Moral Mask: Al-Farah Exposes the Bankruptcy of Western Civilization and the Failure of its Value Model
In light of the escalating scandals that have plagued the political and economic elite in the United States, most notably the case of American billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, the true nature of the Western civilizational model, which has long presented itself as a moral and humanitarian benchmark, is being revealed to global public opinion.
In this context, Mohammed Al-Farah, a member of the Ansar Allah political bureau, offered a profound intellectual analysis asserting that these scandals are not isolated incidents, but rather a stark expression of a structural moral bankruptcy that strikes at the very heart of what is called “Western civilization.”
Material Progress Without Values: A Civilization Without a Soul
Al-Farah argued that whatever scientific, productive, and technological progress Western countries have achieved, however significant, remains insufficient and incapable of building a sound human civilization if it is not based on divine guidance and moral education that purifies souls and regulates behavior.
He emphasized that separating science from ethics has transformed material achievements into tools of destruction and deviance, instead of means for human advancement and the preservation of human dignity.
A Flawed Civilizational Model Carrying the Seeds of Its Own Downfall
In an analytical article published on the “X” platform, Al-Farah stressed that what is known as “Western civilization” has succeeded in constructing a massive material system, but in doing so, it has produced a flawed civilizational model that carries within it the seeds of its own destruction. This is a result of its separation from faith-based values and the absence of the educational and ethical dimension that protects humanity from moral decline and behavioral deviance.
Islam: A Comprehensive Civilizational Project
Al-Farah pointed out that these facts confirm that Islam possesses a comprehensive civilizational project that does not reduce progress to the material dimension alone, but rather focuses on building the human being intellectually, morally, and spiritually, combining self-purification, the development of knowledge, and the correction of misconceptions. He cited the verse:
“He purifies them and teaches them the Book and wisdom” (Quran 2:155), considering it a Quranic principle that establishes a balanced and just civilization.
Criticism of Elites Glorifying the West
The member of Ansar Allah’s political bureau criticized some Arab and Islamic elites and academic circles that still view Western civilization as the ideal model and treat concepts of freedom, rights, and values as “purely Western products,” while portraying the Islamic world as a space of backwardness and decline, ignoring the comprehensive human values inherent in the Islamic project.
Gaza and Epstein: The Fall of the Moral Mask
Al-Farah emphasized that the Epstein scandals, along with the West’s biased stance towards the Zionist aggression against Gaza, have torn away the moral mask behind which this civilization attempts to hide. They have revealed a blatant barbarity, a loss of human values, and a profound moral bankruptcy, manifested in double standards, the justification of crimes, and the protection of aggressors.
A Call to Re-evaluate the Civilizational Model
Al-Farah concluded by stressing that these events provide further evidence of the error in glorifying the Western model morally and culturally. They compel the Muslim world to reconsider its Islamic civilizational project, founded on values, justice, and human dignity, as the only viable option to save humanity from decline and build a more balanced and equitable future.
