Institute for Palestine Studies: Targeting of health facilities in Gaza a structural & enduring feature
The Institute for Palestine Studies affirmed on Monday that the targeting of health facilities in the Gaza Strip is not incidental, but rather a systematic policy practiced by the Israeli enemy.
In a post published on the platform X, monitored by the Saba News Agency, the institute stated that “attacks on healthcare in Gaza are neither accidental nor sporadic; rather, they are a structural and enduring feature of Israeli settler-colonial control in Palestine.”
The post was accompanied by a link to an extensive study published by the institute on February 3 under the title: “The Systematic Targeting of Healthcare in Palestine: From the British Mandate to the Siege of Gaza” by Laith Malehess.
With American and European support, the Israeli occupation army has, for more than two consecutive years since October 7, 2023, carried out acts of genocide, siege, and starvation in the Gaza Strip. These actions have resulted in the killing of 72,073 Palestinian civilians, the majority of them women and children, and the injury of 171,749 others to date, according to a non-final toll, as thousands of victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, beyond the reach of ambulance and rescue crews.
