Gaza: 72,095 Martyrs and 171,784 Wounded Since the Start of the Israeli Aggression
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced an increase in the number of martyrs and wounded as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip. It confirmed that nine martyrs and 19 wounded arrived at the Strip’s hospitals in the past 48 hours, while access to a number of victims trapped under rubble and in the streets remains impossible.
In its daily statistical report, the Ministry explained that ambulance and civil defense teams are still unable to recover a number of bodies due to the widespread destruction and ongoing field hazards, which suggests the actual toll will rise as search and rescue operations progress.
The data indicates that the total number of martyrs since the ceasefire declaration has reached 628, while 1,686 injuries have been recorded, in addition to 735 body recovery operations. This reflects the continued humanitarian repercussions despite the declared truce.
The ministry confirmed that the cumulative toll since the start of the aggression on October 7, 2023 has risen to 72,095 martyrs and 171,784 injuries, in one of the bloodiest rounds of escalation in the history of the sector, amid warnings of the collapse of the health system under the pressure of targeting and lack of resources.
