Iran Announces Funeral Ceremony for Ayatollah Khamenei

The Fars News Agency announced that the funeral and burial of the martyred Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, will take place in the holy city of Mashhad following the conclusion of official and public mourning ceremonies.

The agency explained that the committee organizing the farewell ceremonies is working on a comprehensive program that includes public events in the capital, Tehran. Final details will be announced by the relevant authorities as soon as they are approved.

Meanwhile, various Iranian cities witnessed widespread demonstrations condemning the attack on the country. Participants expressed their solidarity with the leadership and the martyrs, affirming their determination to continue confronting the challenges.

On another note, the agency quoted informed sources as saying that Ayatollah Khamenei did not designate a successor before his martyrdom, leaving the task of choosing the new leadership to the Assembly of Experts, which is expected to make a decision within the next few hours or days.
