Lebanon: 486 martyred, 1,313 wounded as Israeli aggression escalates

Lebanon’s Health Emergency Operations Center at the Ministry of Public Health announced that the toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression since March 2 has risen to 486 martyrs and 1,313 wounded.

The Ministry released the updated figures on Monday as Israeli attacks continued to target multiple areas across the country.

Israeli raids target Beirut’s Southern Suburb
Israeli occupation forces carried out dozens of airstrikes on the Southern Suburb of Beirut, particularly targeting buildings belonging to branches of the Al-Qard Al-Hasan Association.

The raids are part of a broader escalation that has continued for several days.

Attacks expand across southern Lebanon
In South Lebanon, Israeli strikes targeted several towns, including Kawthariyat al-Ruz, al-Qantara, Arab Salim, Majdalzoun, Haris, al-Bayada, Frun, Sreefa, al-Shahabiya, and the border city of al-Khiam.

Israeli drones also struck the Tebnine–Beit Yahoun road and Wadi al-Ayoun near the outskirts of Beit Leef.

According to reports, 16 were martyred and 40 others were wounded in two massacres carried out by Israeli forces in the southern towns of Tayr Debba and Jwayya.

Civilian casualties reported
Martyrdom of Qlaiaa priest Pierre al-Raai, while several residents, including a municipal council member, were injured after Israeli bombardment targeted the town.

Israeli attacks also targeted areas in the Bekaa Valley, including the plain of Younin and the city of Hermel.

Ongoing escalation
“Israel’s” aggression against Lebanon has continued for a week, with repeated strikes across several regions.

Meanwhile, the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon continues to carry out military operations targeting Israeli occupation positions and troop gatherings in defense of Lebanon and its people.
