Mass Rallies in Sana’a and Across Yemen Mark International Quds Day in Support of Palestine
In powerful scenes reflecting deep faith and a strong sense of mission-driven awareness, the capital Sana’a, along with various governorates across Yemen, witnessed massive million-strong rallies on Friday afternoon to mark International Quds Day, which was proclaimed by Imam Khomeini (may he rest in peace) on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan.
This large-scale public mobilization formed a vibrant display of unity, embodying the highest expressions of solidarity and loyalty with the Palestinian people and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
It also reaffirmed the continuation of Yemen’s steadfast approach in supporting and backing the Palestinian cause as the central cause of the entire nation.
Sana’a in the Rain: Loyalty and Faith Unshaken by Circumstances
Amid steady rainfall across the capital Sana’a, countless Yemeni citizens poured into Al-Sabeen Square, raising the flags of Yemen, Palestine, Iran, and Lebanon, along with banners of resistance and declarations of disavowal from the enemies of the nation.
The massive crowds reaffirmed their pledge of loyalty to Jerusalem, stressing their determination to continue supporting the Palestinian people until the restoration of their full rights and the establishment of an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
The surging crowds in Sana’a and across the country’s governorates presented a powerful image of resilience and steadfastness, reflecting Yemen’s deeply rooted faith-based identity and adherence to the Prophetic path of supporting truth and defending the oppressed.
With firm resolve, unwavering determination, and a deeply rooted belief, the Yemeni people renewed their commitment to continue on the path of jihad and sacrifice for the sake of Allah, affirming that resistance remains the only path to confront the forces of tyranny and aggression represented by global Zionism and its American and Israeli instruments, as well as the Western-backed regimes and their allies in the region.
Messages of Support and a Unified Axis
Voices from the million-strong crowds in Al-Sabeen Square and across Yemen’s governorates echoed with chants of dignity, honor, and jihad, sending a clear message to the world that the Yemeni people remain fully prepared and ready to confront the forces of global arrogance.
The slogans reflected a strong sense of alignment with the Axis of Resistance, expressing this sentiment through chants such as:
(“The last Friday of Ramadan… a day defined by Jerusalem / Jerusalem is our foremost cause… we will reach it with a promise fulfilled / The people of wisdom and faith… the Day of Jerusalem has its meaning / Al-Aqsa, blessed by Allah… let the enemies of Allah be driven away / We will never abandon our Al-Aqsa… even if all the forces of disbelief challenge us / Yemen of wisdom stands with Iran… with the proud Iraq and Lebanon / The nation’s affairs will not be set right… except by returning to the Qur’an.”)
The crowds also directed greetings to the resistance forces, chanting: “Salute to the Revolutionary Guard… and to Islamic Iran,” and “Iran stands against tyranny… defending all the peoples of Islam.”
These chants underscored the prominent place that the Islamic Republic of Iran holds in the hearts of many Yemenis for its support of Palestine and the resistance.
At the same time, the slogans expressed explicit hostility toward what participants described as the two principal threats to the nation: “Israel is a cancer… America the greatest devil.”
Responding to any perceived threats, the crowds declared: “Jihad, jihad… the entire people are ready,” and “Gaza, we are still with you… we will remain, and if they return, we will return.”
Rally Statement: Reaffirming the Position and Sending a Message to the World
At the outset of the statement issued during the massive rallies, participants paid tribute to the female martyr who was killed in Iran while taking part in International Quds Day activities, vowing that the forces of aggression would not go unanswered.
The statement declared: “To the soul of the martyr who fell today while standing on International Quds Day in Iran under the enemy’s gunfire, we say to the hardened criminals: here are the heroes of Yemen gathering in hundreds of squares to tell the corrupt and depraved Trump and his criminal partner Netanyahu—we remain, by Allah’s will, steadfast and unwavering, and we are coming to uproot you.”
The statement added that the million-strong mobilization came as part of the annual commemoration of International Quds Day, describing it as an act of striving in the cause of Allah.
It noted that this year’s occasion comes at an exceptional and sensitive moment in the history of the struggle against what it described as the tyranny of the age represented by global Zionism.
