Iran Reveals Details of the 48th and 49th Waves of Operation True Promise
On Saturday evening, the spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters in Iran announced that the armed forces had carried out the 48th and 49th waves of Operation True Promise 4 against Israeli and American targets in the region, confirming that the attacks were simultaneous and multi-pronged.
He explained that the 48th wave was conducted in coordination with Hezbollah in Lebanon and included missile and drone strikes targeting military sites in northern Israel, the Galilee, the Golan Heights, and Haifa, in addition to American bases in the region.
He noted the use of solid-fueled Kheirbeshkan missiles and liquid-fueled Qadr missiles, along with attack drones, giving the operation a diverse range of weaponry.
The 49th wave focused on American bases, targeting Al Dhafra Air Base in Abu Dhabi with precision strikes that hit Patriot missile system radars, a control tower, and air defense facilities.
The Sheikh Isa base in Bahrain was also targeted in an attack that struck early warning radars, aircraft hangars, and US-supplied jet fuel depots, while equipment depots, troop assembly areas, and helicopter hangars at the Al-Udayri base were destroyed.
The spokesman confirmed that these operations were in response to the ongoing aggression, emphasizing that Iranian forces “will not hesitate to deliver successive and decisive blows to the enemy,” and that “the era of international hegemony is over.”
He also revealed that 114 enemy drones of various types have been shot down in Iranian airspace since the beginning of the aggression, indicating the scale of the ongoing confrontation.
