“Professionalism, Cunning, and Tactical Calm”: A German Channel Analyzes Yemen’s Entry into the Battle

The German international broadcaster Deutsche Welle (DW) asserted that the regional and global anticipation, particularly in Israel, regarding Yemen’s involvement in the battle alongside Iran has diverted attention from the true strategies, objectives, and orientations represented by the Houthis.

In a lengthy analysis published on its website, the renowned German network argued that Sana’a possesses a “well-planned containment strategy” subject to a meticulous assessment of gains and losses, and that describing the Yemeni forces’ stance as hesitant or attributing it to internal weakness is inaccurate.

It explained that, contrary to all interpretations suggesting the Houthis’ subservience to Iran, this round of the open conflict in the region has proven that they possess autonomy and their decisions are entirely independent of Tehran.

The report went further, asserting that the Houthis possess a strategic vision and a calm approach to making and scheduling crucial decisions, enabling them to professionally and shrewdly disentangle complex issues.

The report concluded that the Houthis’ strategy makes them a force that is difficult to contain, capable of resistance, resilience, and launching preemptive strikes against an enemy that has thus far failed to understand their structure and identify their military and political weaknesses.
