IRGC Navy: Strait of Hormuz Enters New Phase of Operational Management and Establishment of Deterrence Equations

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy announced that the Strait of Hormuz has entered a new phase of operational management, indicating a qualitative shift in the nature of control over one of the world’s most strategic maritime chokepoints.

In a statement carried by the Tasnim News Agency, the Navy Command emphasized that the developments witnessed in the region in recent days, particularly during a period of relative calm in military operations, have provided both adversaries and allies with a clear understanding of the evolving operational management mechanism of the strait. The statement indicated that these developments represent the culmination of practical field experience tested on the ground.

The statement further clarified that this new phase is not isolated from the broader context of escalation, but rather part of establishing new operational equations that reflect an advanced level of readiness and operational control, and underscore the Islamic Republic’s ability to manage vital strategic points within a highly sensitive strategic environment.

The Revolutionary Guard’s naval command stressed that the change in the management of the Strait of Hormuz comes thanks to God, within an integrated path to enhance the field presence and establish new rules of engagement, in line with the developments of the stage and reflecting the existing balance of power in the region.
