Between the Battlefield and Politics: Iran Draws a Deterrent Equation: No Negotiations Under Threat and an Open Readiness for Confrontation

Amid escalating regional and international tensions, coinciding with the end of the temporary truce and the failure of the negotiation round, the Islamic Republic of Iran is sending decisive messages affirming its utmost readiness to confront any aggression and its categorical rejection of any dictates or negotiations under pressure.

Senior leaders in the judiciary, the parliament, and the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters agree that Iran has prepared itself for a new round of confrontation and will not hesitate to use all its power to deter the arrogant enemy.

Ultimate Readiness

The head of Iran’s judiciary, Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei, announced that the country is on high alert to confront any “potential transgressions” by the “arrogant enemy.”

During his meeting with court presidents, Ejei emphasized that the enemy, which failed to achieve its objectives during a previous “existential war” against Iran, is still lying in wait and seeking to launch a new attack.

He stressed that duty requires all forces and sectors in the country to remain fully prepared in all aspects, drawing on accumulated experience in confronting aggressive schemes.

Rejecting Dictates

For his part, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf affirmed that his country would not accept negotiations under pressure and that it had prepared itself for a new round of war during the truce period.

Ghalibaf explained that Trump, by imposing sanctions and violating the ceasefire, seeks to transform the negotiating table into a table of surrender or a justification for renewed hostilities.

The Iranian president’s assistant for public relations, Mehdi Tabatabaei, also emphasized that the Iranian people have chosen peace and stability, but will not hesitate to defend themselves with full force, warning the American administration against “repeating the same mistakes” in assessing the Iranian position.

The Iranian ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghaddam, reinforced this stance by asserting that “those who possess a great civilization will not negotiate under threat and force,” considering this a fundamental Islamic and theological principle.

Deterring the Blockade

In a clear message of defiance to the United States, the Iranian news agency Tasnim reported that the cargo ship “Shujaa-2” had crossed the Strait of Hormuz, despite the US blockade imposed on Iranian ports and coasts. This passage confirms Iran’s ability to manage and control the strait, and comes after the announcement by the criminal US President Donald Trump of a naval blockade on ships attempting to enter or leave the strait.

The commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters in Iran, Major General Ali Abdollahi, affirmed that the Iranian armed forces are “prepared to respond decisively to the enemy’s violation of agreements,” emphasizing that the Iranian armed forces’ field superiority will thwart Trump’s illusions and misleading narratives regarding the reality on the ground.

Failure of Negotiations
These statements come amidst the failure of negotiations mediated by Pakistan in Islamabad, which brought together delegations from Iran and the United States. Informed sources reported that the negotiations did not yield any agreement due to the intransigence and procrastination of the American side, and its refusal to acknowledge Iran’s legitimate rights.

Reaffirming this stance, Iranian television denied that any Iranian delegation had traveled to Pakistan to participate in a new round of negotiations, emphasizing that Tehran refuses to negotiate “under threat and broken promises,” and that continued participation in any negotiations remains contingent on a change in the behavior and positions of the United States.

Condemnation of the UAE

In a related context, the Iranian Foreign Ministry, through its spokesperson Ismail Baghaei, condemned the United Arab Emirates for arresting a number of individuals on flimsy pretexts.

Baghaei asserted that “raising such baseless allegations and creating an atmosphere hostile to Iran cannot distract from the direct responsibility of those who support and endorse the American and Zionist aggressors in the military aggression against Iran.”

Baghaei called on the UAE government to respect human rights, refrain from retaliatory behavior, and return to the principle of good neighborliness.

Decisive Messages

In conclusion to these escalating tensions, Major General Ali Abdollahi, Commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, affirms that Tehran is prepared to respond to any enemy aggression, and that the valiant Iranian armed forces are ready to deliver decisive, immediate, and effective reprisals against enemy threats and attacks.

These clear messages underscore that Iran, with its wise leadership and steadfast people, will not compromise its sovereignty and dignity, and will remain a thorn in the side of global arrogance and a model of resilience and resistance.
