Qalibaf: Iran will not relinquish its rights to an untrustworthy party, and the armed forces are ready to respond to any new folly.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf affirmed on Saturday that the Islamic Republic of Iran will not compromise on the rights of its people or its national interests, especially in the face of a party that has not shown any sincerity and cannot be trusted at all, in reference to the United States of America, stressing that Tehran will continue to defend its rights through diplomatic and field channels simultaneously.
The Iranian Fars News Agency quoted Qalibaf as saying, during his meeting with Pakistani Army Chief General Asim Munir, that Iran will move in the diplomatic field intelligently and forcefully to secure its legitimate rights and national interests, while stressing that his country will defend its sovereignty and national entity with courage and power if circumstances require it.

The Iranian parliament speaker pointed to what he described as the duplicity of American behavior, explaining that Washington had violated its commitments and broken existing understandings, saying: “We were in a truce in which you were mediators, but America broke the covenant and imposed a naval blockade, and now it is seeking to lift it.” He added that the United States ignited the war during the negotiations, then returned to demand negotiations to end it.

In the same context, Qalibaf stressed the readiness of the Iranian armed forces and their ability to deal with any possible escalation, stressing that they had rebuilt their capabilities during the ceasefire period in a way that would enable them – in the event that the US administration commits any new folly – to deliver blows that are more severe and bitter to the enemies compared to what happened in the early stages of the confrontation.

He stressed that the Iranian military establishment, despite its deep understanding of the value of peace and stability, will never allow the dignity of the country to be compromised or its national rights to be violated, noting that defending sovereignty is a firm and unwavering choice in the face of external pressures or threats.
