The Leader of the Revolution, on the anniversary of the Guardianship: The enemies of the nation target the Guardianship because it is the source of the nation’s strength and invincibility.
The leader of the revolution, Mr. Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, affirmed that the occasion of the Day of Wilayah represents a great faith-based milestone for renewing awareness of the path of guidance that God Almighty has drawn for the nation, and for consolidating the concepts that preserve its dignity and independence and prevent it from falling into the circle of dependency and subservience to its enemies.
In his speech on the occasion of the Day of Wilayah “Eid al-Ghadir”, the Leader explained that the Prophetic message at Ghadir Khumm came in the context of divine arrangements guaranteeing the future of the Islamic nation after the departure of the Great Messenger, may God bless him and his family and grant them peace, considering that the issue of Wilayah is one of the most sensitive and important issues in the lives of nations and peoples.
He pointed out that the importance of the Ghadir message lies in the fact that it defined for the nation a guaranteed future path that achieves for it the perfection of Islam and the completion of the blessing, noting that Islam is not just rituals or theoretical concepts, but a religion that has a practical fruit in the reality of people and their lives, which elevates man, builds the nation and gives it the reasons for strength and glory.
The leader stressed that the Ghadir incident was not an isolated event, but rather came as an extension of a series of texts and positions that affirmed the status of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali bin Abi Talib, peace be upon him, and his role in extending the path of guidance after the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his family and grant them peace.
He explained that the Quranic verses that dealt with the subject of guardianship came in the context of warning against taking the Jews and Christians as allies, due to the grave dangers that would result from this for the nation, its religion, and its independence. He clarified that the principle of guardianship represents an impregnable fortress that protects the nation from submitting to its enemies and from falling under their political, cultural, and intellectual hegemony.
The leader of the revolution stressed that allegiance to the enemies of the nation is not merely a passing political stance, but rather has serious consequences that extend to various aspects of life, leading to the nation’s subjugation to the dictates of its enemies, the loss of its independence, the confiscation of its freedom, and the weakening of its ability to fulfill its civilizational and missionary responsibilities.
He pointed out that the enemies of the nation constantly seek to distance Muslims from the religious principles and values that protect them from domination and enslavement, foremost among which is the principle of guardianship, because it represents a factor of strength and protection for the nation in the face of projects of corruption and deception.
The leader stressed that the nation is required to be more aware and sensitive to any attempts to enable its enemies to control its affairs or impose guardianship over it, noting that siding with the enemy practically means entering under the authority of the tyrant and moving away from the path of faith that God wanted for His servants.
He explained that the authority of God Almighty is the basis of guidance, legislation, command and prohibition, and that the authority of the Great Messenger, may God bless him and his family and grant them peace, came as an extension of God’s authority in conveying the message and leading the nation, while the journey of guidance continued after him through Imam Ali, peace be upon him, and those who followed his path within the framework of the correct extension of the divine message.
The leader of the revolution added that the path of guardianship is not linked to a specific time or a specific generation, but it is a continuous path that preserves the nation’s identity and prevents the state of emptiness and chaos that is exploited by the misguided, the hypocrites and the enemies of the nation to influence the reality of Muslims and deviate them from the right path.
He stressed that the Islamic nation carries a great and sacred message, and it must act in the reality of life in accordance with the guidance of the Holy Qur’an and the teachings of Islam, and it must rise to its responsibilities in enjoining good and forbidding evil, establishing justice and confronting injustice and tyranny.
The leader pointed out that when a nation is fortified by the g
