The Leader: The Day of Wilayah is a station of faith that protects the nation from subservience and consolidates pride and independence.
The leader, Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, congratulated the Yemeni people and the Islamic nation on the occasion of the Day of Wilayah “Eid al-Ghadir”, stressing that this great religious occasion represents an authentic and deeply rooted faith station in the conscience of the Yemeni people, who revive it generation after generation as part of their faith identity and their firmly established religious heritage.
In a speech on the occasion of Wilayah Day, the leader explained that commemorating this occasion is not something new to Yemenis, but rather an extension of a long history of association with religious occasions that contribute to preserving the faith identity and consolidating authentic Islamic values and principles.
He pointed out that the Yemeni people pay great attention to religious occasions and benefit from their educational and faith-based offerings, considering them an expression of appreciation for God Almighty’s blessings and recognition of the greatness of His religion and the lessons and values that these occasions carry that enhance awareness and steadfastness.
The leader affirmed that the Ghadir incident and the prophetic message it contained are among the established historical facts agreed upon by historians and hadith scholars, stressing that commemorating this occasion is a commemoration of a great historical event that is linked to the perfection of religion and the completion of the blessing and the good that results from it for the nation in this world and the hereafter.
He explained that one of the most important features of the Day of Wilayah is that it documents the great message that the Great Messenger, may God bless him and his family and grant them peace, delivered in compliance with the command of God Almighty, noting that talking about this occasion and documenting it represents an important necessity to confront attempts to obscure its meanings and separate the nation from benefiting from its implications and contents.
The Leader stressed that the concept of guardianship is of great importance in protecting the Islamic nation from falling into the circle of subservience and allegiance to its enemies, explaining that guardianship represents a fortress that preserves the nation’s independence and identity and prevents it from being subjected to the forces of hegemony and arrogance.
He pointed out that allegiance to the enemies of God represents a great danger to the nation, because it leads to submission to the rule of the tyrant and distances the nation from its connection with God Almighty, while adhering to the concept of guardianship gives the nation dignity, strength and power in the face of dangers and challenges.
He explained that the occasion of Wilayah Day is not just a historical commemoration, but rather an occasion closely related to the reality of the nation and the challenges and dangers it faces, stressing that drawing inspiration from the principles of Wilayah is a necessity to enhance resilience and steadfastness and to preserve the nation’s independence and its faith-based identity.
The Leader pointed out that some regimes and peoples pay attention to trivial occasions or those with foreign ties that do not serve their values and identity, while the occasion of the Day of Wilayah represents a great station of faith that strengthens the connection with God, His Messenger and authentic Islamic values, and contributes to building the awareness of the nation and consolidating its independent position in the face of projects of hegemony and subservience.
