Mr. Mojtaba Khamenei: Iran has thwarted the plots of its enemies and we will not back down from confronting the Zionist entity.

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and Republic of Iran, Mr. Mojtaba Khamenei, affirmed that “the hegemonic system has created a military base called (Israel), and Iran will not back down from its position towards it.”

In a message on the occasion of the thirty-seventh anniversary of the passing of Imam Khomeini, His Eminence said: “We were able to thwart the enemy’s plots, and any dissemination of a negative view among the people is considered support for the aggression.”

He pointed out that “the enemy wanted to undermine the resilience of the people in Iran, and wanted to sow discord within Iran.”

He added: “The Iranian people today are proud to belong to the resistance front because of what Imams Khomeini and Khamenei have accomplished.”

He emphasized that “the two gentlemen, the great Khomeini and the great martyr Khamenei, were the ones who discovered and revived these energies and readiness among the dear people of Iran, and they always gave them special appreciation.”

He congratulated all Muslims on Eid al-Ghadir and commemorated the passing of Imam Khomeini, saying: “Today marks the anniversary of the passing of the Imam of the Nation, Khomeini, may God have mercy on him. It is a valuable opportunity to reflect and discuss this famous, yet less well-known, figure; a charismatic personality whose approach and enlightened goal require deep understanding and awareness to serve as a beacon for the future of Islamic Iran.”

He added: “What great power was able to awaken a people who were deep in sleep and bewitched by arrogance and colonialism – under conditions dominated by stagnation, oppression and absolute subservience to the West – on the fifteenth of Khordad in the year 1342? And what attractive force was able to drive millions of people to take to the streets on the twelfth of Bahman in the year 1357 to welcome the Imam of the nation, and on the fourteenth of Khordad in the year 1368 to bid him farewell?”
