No leniency for those who fall short… Acting Prime Minister, Allama Muftah, reinforces the principle of firmness and accountability, emphasizing that serving the people is paramount.

In a move reflecting the state’s commitment to upholding the principles of oversight and accountability and improving institutional performance, Acting Prime Minister, Allama Muftah, inspected the level of employee discipline at the Ministry of Oil and Minerals today, coinciding with the first day of work following the Eid al-Adha holiday.

The visit, which included the Minister of Civil Service and Administrative Development, Dr. Khalid Al-Hawali, and the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Engineer Mohammed Al-Mahdi, was not merely a protocol visit. It carried firm stances and highly significant political and economic messages.

Immediate accountability… No leniency for those who fall short in serving the people. During the visit, Allama Muftah’s remarks were marked by a tone of firmness and responsibility. He addressed the issues raised during the Eid holiday regarding certain problems with petroleum products.

In a stance embodying the spirit of a responsible state, Allama Muftah confirmed that this matter is currently under investigation by the relevant authorities. He stressed that he is closely monitoring the progress of the investigations and awaits the final results. In a firm and unequivocal tone, the Acting Prime Minister delivered a strongly worded message to anyone contemplating negligence in their duties, emphasizing that any proven shortcomings would be met with accountability for all those found to be negligent, derelict in their duties, or responsible for such negligence. Mistakes in this area, or any other, are unacceptable and will be met with immediate disciplinary action against those responsible.

This approach underscores the leadership’s commitment to protecting citizens’ interests and ensuring the stability of essential services. It underscores that public service is a duty to serve the people, not an honor, and that any compromise regarding people’s livelihoods and needs is a red line that cannot be crossed.

Comparing Sovereignty and Subjugation: Sana’a’s Stability in the Face of Collapse in Occupied Areas

In his review of the economic situation, Allama Muftah drew a crucial comparison that revealed the vast difference between the state model in liberated areas and the chaotic model in occupied areas. While the capital, Sana’a, and the liberated provinces are witnessing a remarkable stability in the availability of oil derivatives and cooking gas, despite the comprehensive land, sea, and air blockade and the ongoing aggression for the past 12 years, the areas under Saudi-Emirati occupation are experiencing a state of complete collapse.

Allama Muftah explained that despite the influx of billions of dollars into the occupied areas, their exemption from the blockade, and the availability of all resources and revenues for their mercenaries, the citizens there are suffering from a suffocating cost-of-living crisis, with a complete absence of stability in prices, currency, and basic services.

This comparison confirms that the secret to success in Sana’a lies in the independent national will and the honest management of resources, free from the yoke of guardianship and hegemony. Towards the Year 1448 AH: Cultural Independence and Agricultural and Mining Ambition

The visit also addressed strategic aspects of the government’s work. Allamah Muftah referred to the annual plan for the year 1448 AH, currently being prepared, praising Yemen’s pioneering experience in transitioning to the Hijri calendar as a step that strengthens faith-based identity and breaks the shackles of dependence on the region under Zionist hegemony.

He also noted the ambitious programs included in the Ministry of Oil’s plan and its affiliated units, particularly in the mining sector, expressing his hope that everyone would enter the new year with optimism and seriousness in implementation, to achieve tangible results that would benefit the resilient Yemeni citizen.

Eradicating Shortcomings

The visit of the Acting Prime Minister, Allamah Muhammad Muftah, to the Ministry of Oil clarifies matters at a critical juncture, affirming that the government is committed to eradicating shortcomings and holding those responsible accountable, in parallel with strengthening economic sovereignty. This ensures that Yemen, despite the blockade and aggression, remains a model of resilience, stability, and independent decision-making.
