Israeli Enemy Blows Up Homes, Shells with Phosphorus and Fragmentary Shells in Southern Lebanon

Israeli enemy forces blew up homes in the town of Kounine in southern Lebanon on Friday evening and shelled the Ali al-Taher forest on the outskirts of Nabatiyeh al-Fawqa with phosphorus and fragmentary shells, continuing Zionist violations of the ceasefire agreement.

Lebanon’s National News Agency reported that Israeli enemy forces blew up a number of homes in the town of Kounine, Bint Jbeil district.

It also reported that the Ali al-Taher forest on the outskirts of Nabatiyeh al-Fawqa was subjected to artillery shelling by the enemy army with internationally prohibited phosphorus and fragmentary shells, while enemy artillery intermittently shelled the towns of Nabatiyeh al-Fawqa and Kfar Tebnit.

Since March 2 of last year, the Israeli enemy has escalated its criminal aggression on Lebanon, targeting Lebanese towns, villages, cities, and civilian properties, resulting in thousands of martyrs and wounded, and the displacement of approximately one and a half million Lebanese citizens.

On Thursday, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that the Islamabad memorandum of understanding was signed electronically between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran, and included a ceasefire on all fronts, including Lebanon.
