UN committee: Israel systematically killed Palestinian children
The UN Commission of Inquiry on Palestine announced that it had gathered compelling evidence showing that Israeli forces committed grave violations against Palestinian children in Gaza, amounting to deliberate and systematic killing.
The head of the committee explained that the investigations proved that the Israeli authorities did not just target children with bullets and bombing, but also used methods of starvation and deprivation of basic necessities of life, which made their survival almost impossible.
The UN report indicated that more than 20,000 Palestinian children lost their lives between October 2023 and October 2025, while others were subjected to torture, degrading treatment and sexual violence, in flagrant violation of international law.
He also revealed that “Israel” has almost completely destroyed the educational infrastructure in the sector, as 97% of schools and 22 universities have been removed from existence, reflecting a policy aimed at striking at the future of Palestinian society and depriving it of its right to self-determination.
The committee stressed that targeting children was not accidental, but rather part of a strategy aimed at dismantling the Palestinian social fabric, calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities by holding those responsible for these crimes accountable and stopping the ongoing violations.
