Four Palestinian family members killed in Israeli strike on home in Deir al-Balah

Four members of the same family, including a woman and her young daughter, were killed early Wednesday morning after an Israeli military helicopter strike targeted their home in the city of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip. Meanwhile, shelling and military attacks continued across several areas of the enclave, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported, citing medical sources.

Medical sources reported that the victims were identified as Omar Sami Ahmad Abu Qasem, 33, his wife Asmaa Ghazi Abu Qasem, and their six-year-old daughter Habiba Omar Sami Abu Qasem. They were killed when the family home was directly struck.

In central Gaza, Israeli artillery shelled areas northeast of Al-Bureij refugee camp, with continued bombardment around the camp.

In the southern Gaza Strip, Israeli occupation forces carried out extensive demolition operations in the Qizan al-Najjar area, south of Khan Younis. At the same time, Israeli drones dropped bombs near the Bani Suheila roundabout east of the city, while Israeli tanks opened heavy fire toward the eastern neighborhoods.

The Shuja’iyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, also came under artillery shelling as part of a series of attacks targeting multiple areas across the Gaza Strip, amid ongoing Israeli military operations and intensified strikes on residential areas.
