Yemen’s Foreign Ministry: Legitimate rights will be taken, not sought from Saudi enemy

Yemen’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said the legitimate rights of the Yemeni people “will not be begged from the Saudi enemy, but will be taken” stressing that the suffering inflicted on Yemen by Saudi Arabia is unmatched in the current era except for what is taking place in the Gaza Strip.

In a statement issued Sunday, the ministry said that throughout 12 years of Saudi-led aggression and blockade, Sana’a had repeatedly sought to explain Yemen’s humanitarian situation to the international community, but those efforts failed to produce meaningful action.

It added that Saudi financial influence, together with US and Zionist pressure, had undermined initiatives aimed at ending the suffering of the Yemeni people.

The ministry further said that Saudi regime is seeking for years to undermine Yemen’s sovereignty and independence, asserting that Riyadh “understands only the language of force” and that Yemen’s legitimate rights would be secured rather than requested.

It also urged regional countries to assess the unfolding situation fairly and independently, without being influenced by Saudi financial leverage or pressure from its Zionist allies, warning that those who choose to serve “forces of evil, crime and tyranny” would ultimately face failure.
