A Secret Document Reveals a US-Saudi Deal to Spy on Gulf Calls

A document revealed a secret deal between Washington and Riyadh, whereas the document stressed  the removal of the names of the Gulf States from the list of countries whose nationals are prohibited from entering the United States.

According to the text of the document, Washington listed names of Gulf States on the list of countries whose nationals were prohibited to travel to  the United States before the list officially announced.

It is clear in the document that the President of the Royal Court of Saudi Arabia, Khalid bin Abdul Rahman Al-Issa, sent a letter to the Minister of Interior of Saudi Arabia a memorandum to the Minister of Interior, Mohammed bin Nayef, stating with a royal order on the implementation of “an agreement between Saudi Arabia and the United States to delete the names of Gulf countries from List of States whose nationals are prohibited from traveling to the United States “.

In a document, the Saudi Royal Court asked the interior minister to appoint the General Directorate of Investigation to establish infrastructure that would facilitate the monitoring and listening of phone calls made by nationals of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, including Saudi Arabia.

The secret document said that qualified and specialized cadres from the King Naif Arab University for Security Sciences will be used to establish the infrastructure, and the matter will be communicated to the competent authorities in the country for approval and work.

According to the document, SAR 9 billion was allocated for the implementation of this plan.
