In support of the Palestinian prisoners who are on hunger strike in Israeli jails, scores of pro-Palestinian protesters gathered outside the Israeli consulate in Toronto, Saturday,

During the protest, the demonstrators drank a cup of salt water in solidarity with the hunger strikers. One of the protesters said that “it’s important to pressure our Canadian government to do more than what they are currently doing in regards to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict” and that the Palestinian prisoners “unfortunately do experience oppression under the Israeli occupation and government”.
