A child was killed on Monday due to a cluster bomb dropped by the warplanes of the Saudi-led coalition in Saada governorate, northern Yemen.

The little victim lost his life after a critical injury caused by the international prohibited weapon, a cluster bomb, in the area of Al-Dhuriah based in Sahr district, local source reported to YemenExtra.

The US-backed Saudi coalition has used thousands of cluster bombs on the bordering districts in Saada as well as many other Yemeni governorates.

In fact, the spokesman of the Saudi-led coalition had himself admitted the usage of US-supplied cluster bombs in Yemen.

International organizations have also documented the presence of tens of thousands of unexploded cluster bombs that threaten the lives of countless Yemenis living in or near residential areas.

It is noteworthy that children are said to be the most victimized by the blasts of cluster munitions.
