“Daesh” Roams in Yemen

In central Yemen, hundreds of “Daesh”  insurgents are secretly taking training for an attack against Yemeni joint forces.

“Daesh” is yet to hold on to any substancial territory in the war-torn country, resorting instead to hit-and-run operations before retreating into caves and hideouts into the mountains.

Although thousands of “Daesh” sleeper cells are undercover throughout Yemen, the hardline faction remains based in rural Bayda, a governorate in central Yemen that is almost exclusively under Yemeni joint forces’ control.
