The Yemenis’ attacks against major Saudi facilities and infrastructure have intensified in recent weeks.

Yemeni forces targeted a power plant in Jizan province southwest of Saudi Arabia using a cruise missile in retaliation for the Saudi-led coalition’s regime’s deadly war on their country.

The missile hit the power plant in al-Shuqaiq area on Wednesday night, al-Masirah TV quoted spokesman for Yemeni Armed Forces Brigadier General Yahya Saree as saying, saying the attack “came in response to the continuing crimes and blockade of the Saudi-led coalition,” and vowed more attacks against “vital facilities in Saudi Arabia.”

Rocketry Force of the Yemeni army forces on Thursday morning fired Badr-F ballistic missile at a gathering of Saudi paid fighters in Al-Suh area, off Najran.

The spokesman of the Armed Forces, Brigadier Yahya Sare’e said, “The missile strike targeted large gatherings of Saudi enemy and its mercenaries with direct hit.”

“The strike has caused dozens of deaths and injuries among the mercenaries,” Brigadier Sare’e confirmed, pointing out that ten cars were seen transporting them.

In March 2015, the US -backed –Saudi-led coalition started  a war against Yemen with the declared aim of crushing the Houthi Ansarullah movement, who had taken over from the staunch Riyadh ally and fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, while also seeking to secure the Saudi border with its southern neighbor. Three years and over 600,000 dead and injured Yemeni people and  prevented the patients from travelling abroad for treatment and blocked the entry of medicine into the war-torn country, the war has yielded little to that effect.

Despite the coalition claims that it is bombing the positions of the Ansarullah fighters, Saudi bombers are flattening residential areas and civilian infrastructures.

More than 2,200 others have died of cholera, and the crisis has triggered what the United Nations has described as the world’s worst humanitarian disaster.
