Major General al-Madani to Al-Qassam’s General Staff: We stand by our pledge — if the enemy resumes its aggression, we will return with decisive operations deep inside the entity

Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Yusuf Hassan al-Madani, sent a reply telegram to the General Staff of the Al-Qassam Brigades in response to their condolences on the martyrdom of Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Muhammad Abdul Karim al-Ghamari, reaffirming steadfastness and the commitment to stand by the fighters whatever the sacrifices.

In the text of the telegram, which contained words of sympathy and reverence, al-Madani praised what the Al-Qassam General Staff expressed of sincere feelings and fraternal condolences, describing them as “of deep appreciation and profound gratitude” for their words fragrant with loyalty and sincerity, which embodied the deep faith-and-jihad bonds based on unity of purpose and destiny in facing the Zionist enemy and its aggressive schemes.

Al-Madani affirmed in his message: “We are with you on the pledge and the promise; we share your joy in victory, we console you in moments of loss, and we assure you that we are steadfast in our pledge and promise to stand with you and by your side whatever the sacrifices, and that we are closely monitoring developments.”

The chief of staff added that the leadership is considering all possibilities, declaring a clear position linked to practical reaction should the enemy renew its assault on Gaza: “We announce that, if the enemy resumes its aggression on Gaza, we will resume our military operations in the depth of the Zionist entity, and we will reimpose a ban on Israeli navigation in the Red and Arabian Seas.”

Al-Madani’s telegram also lauded what he called “the greatest example of Islamic steadfastness” displayed by the Al-Qassam Brigades, praising the fighters for delivering conclusive testimony to the greatness of Islam and the efficacy of jihad, asserting that Islam does not accept defeat or humiliation, and that by defeating with the weapon of faith they have humbled the strongest empires of money, arms and technology — astonishing the world with their determination, silencing the enemies with their steadfastness, and forcing them toward negotiations after those enemies had fancied they could control and eradicate [them].

The telegram reflects a mixture of symbolic consolation and practical messaging: it combined the language of condolence on one hand, and the preservation of the option of deterrent and military response dependent on field developments on the other; making it a twofold message: to cement bonds of faith-based and political solidarity with the Palestinian resistance, while at the same time demonstrating the readiness and deterrent capability available to the revolutionary and political leadership and the armed forces of Yemen.

This telegram comes amid a tense regional context, where arenas and roles are shared across political, diplomatic and field dimensions, against the backdrop of the ongoing suffering of the Palestinian people and the escalation of confrontations and regional and international consultations over the course of the crisis.

At the end of his message, al-Madani addressed his brothers in the General Staff of the Al-Qassam Brigades with sincere appreciation and gratitude, imploring God to assist and support them, and concluded the telegram with a prayer and greeting, saying: “Please accept our sincere appreciation and gratitude; God is our Lord, best Protector and best Helper. Peace, mercy and blessings of God be upon you.”
