Yemen’s Foreign Ministry Warns Washington and London:

The Yemeni Judiciary Is Independent, and Interference in Its Rulings Is Unacceptable

In a renewed affirmation of Yemen’s sovereign decision-making and its rejection of American and British influence, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a strongly worded statement warning Washington and London against any attempt to undermine or interfere in the authority of the Yemeni judiciary.

The warning comes amid Western political and media campaigns attempting to question the verdicts issued against espionage cells proven to have supplied foreign governments with information that facilitated hostile operations resulting in civilian casualties and widespread destruction in several Yemeni regions. The ministry stressed that the Yemeni judiciary operates with full independence and that any attempts to cast doubt on its rulings will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

A Sovereign Judiciary That Accepts No Guardianship

The statement emphasized that the judiciary in the Republic of Yemen exercises its authority in accordance with the constitution and existing laws, consistent with the principle of separation of powers. The ministry affirmed that the judiciary is completely independent and will not accept any external intervention or political pressure, noting that attempts by Washington or London to interfere represent a blatant violation of one of the state’s most essential pillars.

According to the statement, any foreign political discourse targeting judicial decisions is considered an unacceptable overreach that neither the Yemeni people nor their constitutional institutions will allow to pass.

Verdicts Against Espionage Cells That Committed Documented Crimes

The ministry pointed out that the judiciary issued its rulings based on clear evidence, confessions, and documented actions related to espionage networks collaborating with foreign states. These cells provided hostile nations with sensitive information used to carry out direct attacks on civilian and security sites, resulting in the deaths of dozens of Yemenis and the destruction of vital infrastructure.

The ministry stressed that attempts to question these rulings are nothing more than efforts to cover up the crimes committed and to protect individuals proven to be linked to the coalition states.

Washington Is the Last Party Entitled to Speak of Justice

The Foreign Ministry sharply criticized the United States, asserting that it has no moral standing to speak about justice or human rights while it continues to commit bloodshed across many parts of the world. The statement referenced America’s long record of atrocities in Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, and Syria, as well as its full partnership in the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza—actions that strip it of any ethical legitimacy in discussing human values or principles of justice.

The ministry noted that the United States routinely uses slogans of freedom and human rights as a façade to interfere in the affairs of sovereign nations, while practicing severe violations in reality.

Washington’s Criticism Reveals Its Involvement

According to the statement, the American attack on Yemeni judicial rulings clearly indicates Washington’s own involvement in the espionage networks operating inside Yemen and reflects its desire to shield the operatives it recruited to carry out hostile missions. The ministry said this political stance exposes the direct role of American and British security and intelligence agencies in managing these cells and attempting to obstruct legal proceedings against them.

The ministry reaffirmed that Yemen will not accept any foreign dictates and that its judiciary will continue its duties regardless of external pressure or threats.

A Clear Message: Sovereignty Is a Red Line

The statement concluded by stressing that Yemen is a sovereign state and that its institutions—foremost among them the judiciary—are not subject to bargaining or foreign interference. It affirmed that any American or British overreach will be met with a firm response in defense of the country’s independence and the rights of its people, and that justice will proceed without guardianship or coercion.
