Municipality of Jabalia: 60% of Municipal Areas in Northern Gaza Strip are Inside Yellow Line

The President of the Municipality of Jabalia al-Nazlah in the northern Gaza Strip, Mazen al-Najjar, announced that about 60% of the municipal areas in the northern part of the Strip lies within the Yellow Line, indicating that the area suffers from widespread destruction of infrastructure and homes.

Al-Najjar clarified in a press statement on Sunday that many homes have become prone to collapse, while some have collapsed on their residents, confirming that the scale of the disaster exceeds the municipality’s capabilities, according to the “Sanad” News Agency.

He pointed out that the municipality has established small camps to encourage citizens to return, operated about 400 pumps, and provided limited quantities of fuel to secure water supply. Additionally, a number of streets were opened despite the massive scale of destruction.

Al-Najjar stated that the municipality’s efforts are still limited compared to what the existing disaster in the northern part of the Strip requires, calling on the concerned authorities to intensify support and backing to restore life to the region.
