European commissioner warns: Blocking humanitarian organizations threatens civilian lives in Gaza

The European Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness, and Crisis Management, Haja Lahbib, confirmed on Tuesday that the expiration of the legal deadline for registering non-governmental organizations in Israel has prevented many humanitarian partners from operating in the Gaza Strip.

In a post on X platform, monitored by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), Lahbib stated that this measure has stifled life-saving aid to civilians.

She pointed out that the current Israeli law for registering NGOs cannot be implemented without impacting humanitarian operations.

The ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip came into effect on October 10th, following a two-year-long Israeli war of genocide. However, the Israeli army continues to violate the agreement daily and still prevents the entry of most humanitarian aid into the Strip.
