PIC: 270 Palestinian martyrs, 2,795 wounded by enemy violations in WB, al-Quds in 2025
The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) has stated that 2025 witnessed the highest rate of Israeli enemy violations against Palestinians in the West Bank and occupied al-Quds compared to the previous five years. This clearly indicates the escalation of Israeli aggression and its continued policies of aggression against Palestinians.
In its annual report on violations by Israeli enemy forces and settlers in the West Bank and al-Quds, which was reviewed by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the center documented 81,887 Israeli violations in 2025.
The report explained that these violations included all types of crimes and abuses committed by Israeli enemy forces and settlers, including killing, deportation, arrest, house demolitions, land confiscation, property confiscation, and attacks targeting the education and health sectors, in violation of all international conventions and treaties.
According to the report, Israeli enemy forces and settlers killed 270 Palestinian civilians, including 56 children, 8 women, and 19 elderly people, while 2,795 were wounded.
Jenin governorate recorded the highest number of martyrs in 2025, with 87, followed by Nablus, Tubas, and Hebron governorates, with 45, 30, and 30 martyrs respectively.
According to the report, Israeli enemy forces launched a large-scale military operation targeting refugee camps in the northern West Bank.
The operation began in Jenin camp on January 21, 2025, and then extended to Tulkarm camp on January 27, and Tubas camp on February 2, 2025.
The Israeli enemy army called this operation “Operation Iron Wall,” the largest and most violent military operation since Operation Defensive Shield in 2002 during the Second Intifada.
The report confirmed that the operation resulted in widespread destruction and dozens of martyrs and wounded.
More than 51,000 Palestinian citizens were displaced from their homes, which were destroyed by dozens of military vehicles equipped with the latest weapons and surveillance equipment, as well as various types and sizes of armored personnel carriers.
The most recent of these was the highly fortified “Eitan” armored vehicle, used for the first time in the West Bank, along with tracked and wheeled D9 and D10 military bulldozers.
It noted that after evacuating the residents and expelling them from their neighborhoods, the Israeli enemy transformed their homes into military barracks for its soldiers and occupied the rooftops of other buildings, positioning snipers there.
The report also pointed out that the enemy army demolished the infrastructure of the areas it invaded, simultaneously cutting off electricity and water supplies. It then proceeded to carry out extensive bulldozing of streets, severing neighborhoods with barriers and earth mounds. The army employed a policy of demolishing homes “from house to house” to facilitate safer troop movement.
The report stated that the Israeli enemy prevented the delivery of medical and food supplies to the population, restricted ambulance movement to those requiring prior coordination, obstructed and assaulted ambulance crews, besieged hospitals, prevented the burial of martyrs and the deceased whose bodies were being brought to their morgues, disrupted citizens’ communications, and completely paralyzed economic life in the areas it had invaded.
The center confirmed that the number of detainees in Israeli prisons reached 10,679, including children, women, and released prisoners. It added that settler attacks numbered 4,441, and the number of shooting incidents carried out by Israeli soldiers and settlers reached 3,749.
The report stated that 2025 witnessed a continuation of violations by the Israeli enemy and extremist settlers against al-Aqsa Mosque compound. The intensity and frequency of incursions continued throughout the year, with the total number of extremist Jewish settlers storming al-Aqsa Mosque exceeding 120,000 – the highest number of incursions since its occupation in 1967.
The number of Palestinians expelled from al-Quds and al-Aqsa Mosque reached 104, while the number of detainees in al-Quds reached 625. The number of homes demolished reached 1,098, in addition to hundreds more threatened with demolition, according to the center.
The report also documented 674 Zionist attacks on places of worship and holy sites, while the Israeli enemy tightened its grip on Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron, bringing the number of attacks and desecrations against it to 296.
