Gaza Under the Crosshairs of Genocide: Blood Spilled Daily and Childhood Besieged by Death and Silence

Despite repeated talk of a “ceasefire,” the tragedy in the Gaza Strip continues at a pace no less devastating than the first days of the aggression. The number of martyrs keeps rising, the wounded accumulate within an almost collapsed healthcare system, and day after day the reality on the ground becomes clearer: an ongoing genocide in multiple forms, a siege engineered as a tool of slow killing, and systematic violations of every humanitarian commitment.

A Bloody Toll Surpassing All Previous Tragedies

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Friday that the death toll from the Israeli aggression has risen to 71,409 martyrs and 171,304 injuries since October 7, 2023—one of the deadliest crimes in the history of the conflict.

In the past 24 hours alone, hospitals received 14 martyrs and 17 wounded, amid continued direct targeting of residential areas and the absence of any real guarantees for civilian protection.

Since the ceasefire agreement entered into force on October 11, health authorities have documented 439 additional martyrs and 1,223 injuries, along with the recovery of 688 bodies from beneath the rubble. A large number of victims remain trapped in streets and under debris, as ambulance and civil defense teams are unable to reach them.

A Ceasefire—Only on Paper

In a shocking report, the Government Media Office revealed 1,193 violations committed by the Israeli enemy since the ceasefire decision came into effect on October 10, 2025, resulting in 484 martyrs, 1,206 wounded, and 50 cases of unlawful detention.

These violations ranged from direct fire on civilians and military incursions into populated areas to the bombing of homes and civilian facilities, and systematic demolition operations—constituting blatant violations of international humanitarian law and all provisions of the humanitarian protocol attached to the agreement.

The Siege as a Weapon of Slow Genocide

On the humanitarian front, policies of engineered starvation and deprivation continue systematically. Over a 90-day period during which 54,000 aid trucks were supposed to enter Gaza, only 23,019 trucks actually arrived—an adherence rate of just 43%.

The fuel situation is even more dire: only 539 fuel trucks entered out of an allocated 4,500, an implementation rate of approximately 11%, leaving hospitals, bakeries, water and sewage facilities in a state of near paralysis.

In terms of shelter, the enemy continues to block the entry of mobile homes and relief materials, while more than 1.5 million displaced people live in deteriorating tents. Some 127,000 tents have gone out of service, coinciding with severe cold waves and weather depressions that have caused dozens of damaged buildings to collapse, resulting in deaths and injuries among civilians who sought refuge in them out of necessity.

Harsh Weather Deepens the Disaster

The latest weather depression has intensified the suffering of the displaced. Floodwaters inundated tents in several areas, while strong winds tore others apart, forcing entire families—including children—into the open amid extremely cold conditions.

In the town of Beit Lahia in northern Gaza, a child was injured when a wall collapsed due to powerful winds—an image that encapsulates the extreme fragility of life in Gaza under siege, destruction, and the continued ban on shelter materials.

Childhood Under Direct Attack

Crimes have not been limited to bombardment and siege; they have extended directly to Palestinian childhood. The international organization Save the Children condemned the killing of five children during new Zionist raids and violations, stressing that the world cannot afford to ignore what is happening, and that a permanent ceasefire is the only way to protect children and save lives.

In the same context, the Palestine Center for Prisoner Studies warned of the escalation in the arrest of children—some as young as ten years old—and the deprivation of hundreds more of their right to education. This forms part of a systematic approach aimed at destroying the future of an entire generation and breaking its will from an early age, amid an international silence that borders on complicity.

Calls for Accountability—And a Reality Without Deterrence

The Government Media Office placed full responsibility for the ongoing humanitarian deterioration on the Israeli enemy and called on the guarantors of the agreement, the international community, and the United Nations to assume their legal and moral responsibilities. It urged them to compel the occupation to fully implement its obligations and ensure the immediate, safe flow of aid, fuel, and shelter materials.
