UNRWA: Gaza faces harsh winter, urges global aid
The UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) warned on Saturday that winter conditions in Gaza are extremely harsh, with urgent humanitarian needs.
In a post on X, the agency called on the world to allow more aid, including tents and plastic sheeting, to help families stay warm.
A Gaza resident, Nidal, said: “Winter has become a season of terror in Gaza, where everything has been destroyed.”
Despite a ceasefire that began on October 10 after a two-year Israeli war, Israel continues daily violations and blocks most humanitarian aid, including UNRWA supplies.
