Iranian Armed Forces General Staff: Sovereignty Is a Red Line and We Will Not Allow Enemies to Undermine Security

The Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, affirmed that the Islamic Republic will not relinquish an inch of its independence, territorial integrity, or national interests, stressing that these principles constitute a red line that cannot be compromised under any circumstances, amid what he described as escalating threats and attempts to destabilize internal security.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Chief of Staff said that enemies must fully realize that the guardians of Iran’s security will grant no opportunity to ISIS terrorists or agents of global arrogance to carry out their destructive agendas. He emphasized that Iran’s security and military institutions are closely monitoring all suspicious movements with firmness and high vigilance.

Major General Mousavi underscored that the armed forces will defend Iran with their lives and will not allow terrorism to undermine Iranian security or violate the country’s sovereignty, noting that any threat will be met with a swift and decisive response commensurate with the nature and scale of the danger.

These remarks come amid a tense regional environment in which arrogant powers seek to use terrorism and chaos as tools to pressure Iran and weaken its regional role and independent positions. However, the military leadership affirmed that such attempts are doomed to failure.

The statements by the Chief of the General Staff convey a clear message of deterrence, reaffirming Iran’s military and security readiness and underscoring that the nation’s security and stability remain absolute priorities that are not subject to compromise, regardless of escalating pressures or the multiplicity of hostile tools.
