Saudi Aggression on Saada: Two Citizens and an African Migrant Wounded amid Systematic Escalation Against Civilians

The Saudi enemy army continues its repeated attacks against residents of border areas in Saada Governorate, in a blatant violation of Yemeni sovereignty and all international and humanitarian laws and conventions. A new act of aggression on Friday resulted in two Yemeni citizens and an African migrant sustaining varying injuries, underscoring a systematic escalation that confirms the deliberate targeting of unarmed civilians.

Media sources in the governorate reported that one citizen was wounded by enemy fire in the border district of Shada, while another citizen and an African migrant suffered serious injuries opposite the Al-Thabit area in the border district of Qatabir, due to direct gunfire from enemy army positions—marking yet another crime added to a long record of violations against peaceful residents.

This attack comes only days after a young man was martyred last Wednesday by a mortar shell fired by the Saudi enemy army at travelers opposite the Al-Sheikh area in the border district of Munabbih—an incident that once again revealed the enemy’s disregard for civilian lives and its deliberate conversion of roads and open areas into zones of direct targeting.

Earlier, last Sunday, artillery shelling targeted several populated villages in Shada district, as part of an aggressive policy based on sustained pressure and daily intimidation of border-area residents, and an attempt to impose a coercive security reality through brute force.

For years, border districts in Saada have endured repeated Saudi attacks involving artillery and missile shelling, resulting in civilian casualties and extensive damage to public and private property. This series of crimes reflects the enemy’s failure to achieve any military gains and its resort to retaliating against innocent civilians.

Observers affirm that this ongoing escalation falls within a policy of attrition and systematic terror pursued by the Saudi regime against residents of border areas, amid a pervasive international silence that encourages the continuation of these violations and entrenches a state of impunity.
