January 24: A Day of Infrastructure Violations and Escalated Extermination in the Record of Aggression Crimes

On this day, January 24, one of the bloodiest chapters in the record of the U.S.–Saudi–Emirati aggression against Yemen resurfaces. The war machine deliberately targeted Yemenis in their daily lives, striking infrastructure, homes, markets, and roads as part of a systematic policy aimed at breaking the will of the people, starving them, and imposing subjugation by force—within a framework of documented war crimes and crimes against humanity spanning years of aggression.

2016: Bombing Roads and Homes, Targeting the Capital

On January 24, 2016, coalition aircraft carried out three airstrikes on the main road in the Al-Rabiah area of Majz District in Saada Governorate, injuring several civilians. The Al-Sayfi area in Sahar District was also targeted.

In Hajjah Governorate, the aggression targeted Haradh District and launched two airstrikes on homes and commercial shops in Shu‘bat Al-Dash, Bani Hassan area of Abs District, causing extensive property damage.

The bombardment extended to Amran Governorate, where airstrikes destroyed the government complex building in Houth District and caused severe damage to nearby homes. More than 15 missile strikes hit the Al-Sab‘een and Al-Nahdain areas in the Capital Secretariat, also targeting Al-Nahda neighborhood and 21 September Park, resulting in significant destruction and mass displacement of families.

Coalition aircraft also struck the main road in Al-Khayam area of Khawlan District and launched airstrikes on wide areas of Taiz, including Al-Aqroudh, Al-Masrakh, Al-Harir neighborhood, and the Special Security Forces camp, damaging dozens of homes.
In Marib, airstrikes hit Sarwah and Majzar, while in Al-Bayda they targeted the Central Security and Al-Manasih area in Wald Rabi‘ District.

2017: Mokha Under Fire and Unprecedented Naval Bombardment

On January 24, 2017, the aggression escalated dramatically as coalition aircraft carried out 30 airstrikes on the city of Mokha in Taiz Governorate, accompanied by intense naval shelling involving more than 150 missiles—one of the most violent combined air-sea assaults.

Airstrikes also targeted areas in Sanhan and Bani Bahloul in Sana’a Governorate with 13 strikes, five strikes hit Shabwah, and a convoy of the mercenary Western Axis commander Abdulghani Al-Subaihi was targeted in Lahj, resulting in deaths and injuries among his escorts.
Areas in Saada were subjected to Saudi missile attacks, while airstrikes extended to Hodeidah, Marib, and Jizan.

2018: Targeting Civilians, Vehicles, and Schools

On January 24, 2018, two civilians were killed in an airstrike on Bani Hushaysh District, and two others were killed when an airstrike targeted a vehicle on Nashour Bridge in Al-Safra District, Saada.

Coalition aircraft also targeted vehicles and machinery in Marib and carried out airstrikes on Al-Omari schools in Dhubab, Taiz, as well as areas in Al-Jawf and Midi—clearly demonstrating the deliberate targeting of civilian and educational facilities.

2019: Shelling Residential Neighborhoods and Military Entrenchment

On January 24, 2019, coalition mercenaries intensified artillery and machine-gun shelling on villages and residential areas in Hodeidah, including Kilo-16, 7 July area, the airport, and the Faculty of Medicine, while establishing military fortifications inside civilian neighborhoods.

In Saada, repeated airstrikes targeted Sahar and Baqim, alongside heavy Saudi missile shelling on citizens’ homes and farms.

2020: Targeting Children and Residential Areas

On January 24, 2020, a civilian was killed by Saudi border guard fire in Shada, Saada. A child was also killed and others injured as mercenaries shelled residential areas in Hodeidah, including 7 July, 50th Street, Al-Tuhayta, and Al-Durayhimi.

Coalition aircraft launched airstrikes on Amran and Al-Jawf, while intensive artillery shelling of villages and farms continued.

2021: Widespread Bombing and Unprecedented Firepower

On January 24, 2021, coalition aircraft carried out airstrikes on Saada, Marib, and Asir. Hodeidah witnessed a dangerous escalation, with reconnaissance aircraft conducting repeated strikes and mercenaries firing more than 375 artillery shells, alongside the establishment of combat fortifications within residential areas.

2022: Comprehensive Aggression Across Most Governorates

On January 24, 2022, coalition aircraft launched dozens of airstrikes on the Capital Secretariat, Sana’a, Taiz, Marib, Shabwah, Saada, Al-Jawf, and Hajjah, targeting districts, public facilities, and citizens’ homes in one of the broadest bombing campaigns of the year, causing extensive destruction to public and private property.
