Palestinian martyr succumbs to wounds from enemy shelling of tent in Khan Yunis

A Palestinian citizen succumbed to his wounds on Thursday evening, sustained from a bombardment by the Israeli occupation army on Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported the martyrdom of citizen Ahmad Bakr, who died from injuries sustained when the occupation forces shelled a tent sheltering displaced people last Friday in Khan Yunis.

With American and European support, the Israeli occupation army has, for over two consecutive years since October 7, 2023, committed genocide, siege, and starvation crimes in the Gaza Strip. This has resulted in the martyrdom of 71,851 Palestinian civilians, the majority of whom are children and women, and the injury of 171,608 others, as of today. These are non-final tolls, as thousands of victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue crews.

A ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip entered into force on October 10 last year, following two consecutive years of a genocidal Zionist war. However, the Israeli occupation army commits daily violations of the agreement and continues to prevent the entry of most humanitarian aid into the Strip, especially aid provided by UNRWA.
